So I get alot of flack for choosing to revive Lightbringer and I thought I'd put to rest some of the commonly asked questions.
Because i found out about it being public domain during a time when i was trying to find a project. I knew linkara growing uo in highschool. We grew up at the same time and had similar influences. In my mind the biggest problem was the execution of the comic and not the basic idea.
But seriously, why lightbringer, wouldnt it be more creative to do your own thing??????
I believe ita a fallacy to assume that just because what someone is working on isnt 100% their own creation its somehow not creative. There are good fanfic writers out there who deserve to have their work published. [Also star wars expanded universe is just a bunch of fanfic anyway] But then there's stuff like Wicked which capitalized on a public domain franchise.
Lightbringer provided a foundation from which to build on and I think what I have now will work. I could cut LB out but that would cost time and investment and a entire rework of every thing i have. Sounds frusterating, doesnt it?
Why call it Northern Lights?
Because it gives me more freedom on where and how to post and its kinda morphed into an entourage story.
Is Linkara involved?
Nope, hes got his own thing going on.
Seriously, why Lightbringer, its a dumpster fire!?!?!?
Cos the idea has potential. Thats really all there is to it.
